Kocurek Alumni Scholarship

Each school year, the Kocurek PTA awards a $1,000 scholarship to up to two deserving Kocurek Alumni! If you know of an AISD student that will be a graduating senior in the 2024-2025 school year and attended Kocurek Elementary for at least 2 grade levels, please have them apply!

To apply, applicants must fill out both the Kocurek Alumni Scholarship Application and the AISD Scholarship Application. The deadline to apply for the 2024-2025 school year will be in April 25, 2025. Scholarship applications are accepted via email only to scholarships@kocurekpta.org. All eligibility requirements and items to submit are included on the Kocurek Alumni Scholarship Application.

Janet Parker-Nichols Kocurek Elementary Alumni Scholarship

Beginning in 2023, the Kocurek PTA will award a $1,000 Janet Parker-Nichols Kocurek Elementary Alumni Scholarship to a deserving Kocurek Alumni who identifies as having a disability and receives services under IDEA or ADA: Section 504. This scholarship is for graduating AISD high school seniors who attended Kocurek Elementary for at least 2 grade levels and who identifies as having a disability and receives services under IDEA or ADA: Section 504. Mrs. Janet Parker-Nichols taught at Kocurek since it opened in 1986, and she dedicated much of her career to serving students in Special Education.  The Kocurek Elementary PTA created this scholarship to honor the legacy she left behind and to support students in Special Education with their educational expenses. 

If you know of an AISD student that qualifies for this scholarship, please have them apply!
